Leo XIV’s Prayer Intention Is … for the Care of Water: In September 2026, Leo XIV invites Catholics around the world to pray for the care of water. In his monthly prayer intention, he reminds Christians that access to clean water should be a right. “We beg forgiveness that it has been turned into a commodity, forgetting that it is a universal gift, a right without borders.” He encourages Christians to reject waste and pollution and to use natural resources responsibly. Caring for water, he says, is both an expression of love for creation and an act of solidarity with the poor.

The Pope’s Prayer intention for the month of September is to pray for care of water: “Lord of Life, you have given us the gift of water, source of fruitfulness, freshness, and hope. It quenches thirst, nourishes the earth, and heals wounds. We thank you because it is also a symbol of your grace and love that renews us through baptism. Today, we ask you to teach us to safeguard it with gratitude, justice, and responsibility. Forgive us for turning it into a commodity, forgetting that it is a universal gift, a right without borders, meant for all your children. We see with pain, so many brothers and sisters, who lack clean water, who walk for miles to find it, who become ill due to its scarcity. May your Spirit make us pilgrims of the essential, able to live with simplicity, denouncing waste and pollution, defending the right of every brother and sister to drink without fear and without inequality. May our care for water, be a sign of love for the Creator, and a commitment to the lives of …Bontsi

Leo XIV’s Secretary Was a Disciple of Accused Sexual Abuser Lute

Rev. Edgard Rimaycuna, 36, Leo XIV’s personal secretary, was a disciple of Father Eleuterio Vásquez, called “Lute”. This former priest from Chiclayo is accused of sexually abusing girls aged 9 and 11.
The information is revealed in the book The Shepherd and the Wolves, as reported by InfoVaticana. The book was written by Peruvian author Santiago Roncagliolo and is sympathetic toward Leo XIV.
Lute was investigated so poorly under Bishop Robert Prevost of Chiclayo that the case remained unresolved. After becoming Pope, Leo XIV granted Lute’s request for laicization in September 2025. This brought the canonical proceedings to an end, thus avoiding a guilty verdict.
Close Collaboration Between Prevost and Lute
In recounting the relationship between Bishop Prevost and Father Lute - at the time the diocese’s most popular priest and promoter of devotion to the Child of the Miracle of Eten - Roncagliolo writes:
“Fighting together brought the bishop and the priest very close. Father Lute informed …Bontsi

Church Memorial Remembers Aborted Babies: At St. Antonius Church in Bregenz, Austria, a memorial commemorates children who died before birth. Bishop Benno Elbs of Feldkirch inaugurated the memorial in December 2025. A memorial plaque remembers Lydia, who died in the ninth week of pregnancy after her mother took an abortion pill. Her mother regretted the decision and tried unsuccessfully to stop the effects of the pill. Lydia was later given a dignified burial. The pro-life organization Plattform Leben Vorarlberg promotes the memorial and has published Lydia’s story in a short German-language film, which can be watched with translated subtitles.

US Sisters and the Macarena Retirement Tour: The Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR) held its 70th anniversary gathering in Orlando, Florida, from 11 to 14 August. They posted a video on Facebook showing elderly women in civilian clothes dancing the Macarena (1995). The fitting headline: "When Catholic sisters get together, watch out for the dance parties! 🎉". Macarena was popular when the sisters were in their 50s. The LCWR represents the leaders of many women's religious congregations in the United States.

2. Historical Context and "Dance Manias"
Catholic history records instances where mass dancing was interpreted through the lens of spiritual affliction or divine punishment. [1, 2]
St. Vitus’ Dance (Chorea): In the Middle Ages, outbreaks of compulsive, uncontrollable dancing (now understood as a neurological or psychological phenomenon) swept through Europe. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Spiritual Intercession: Victims were sent to shrines of St. Vitus, a Christian martyr, to pray for deliverance and healing from what many at the time feared was a demonic curse or affliction. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Bishops in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh say outside the Catholic Church there is no salvation according to Vatican Council II.

04.08.2026
Bishops in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh say outside the Catholic Church there is no salvation according to Vatican Council II.
When the Apostle Thomas when he came to un-divided India, he preached that outside Jesus and the Catholic Church, Jesus Mystical Body there was no salvation.
Bishops in India have to now support the St.benedict center, the Society of St. Pius X and the Ecclesia Dei communities with a traditional Vatican Council II.
Vatican Council II is dogmatic and ecclesiocentric in Kerala, Goa and Karachi.
Liberal may not want to say outside the Church there is no salvation but they are restricted by the text of Vatican Council II which can only be interpreted rationally.
‘The red is not an exception for the blue’ in the memes/ graphics. This is a new way of reading Vatican Council II.
Bishops Conferences in Asia are now united on doctrine and theology when Vatican Council II is rational, traditional and interpreted honestly by all.

Rainbow Dance at the Altar Includes Men in Skirts: On August 15, at the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Torrelavega, Spain, parish priest Juan Carlos Rodríguez del Pozo introduced a “contemplative dance” in which men and women wearing large, rainbow colored skirts danced in a circle around “the table of the Eucharist.” Explaining its symbolism, he said: “We’re going to see many colors, which symbolize… diversity”. After the dance, he added: “We are a welcoming, diverse community, where nobody is superfluous, where we all (todos) feel at home, whoever/however we may be.” In the homily, Rodríguez del Pozo rejected a faithful understanding of Our Lady’s bodily Assumption: “No human being is going to ascend to heaven body and soul.”

FSSPX to Continue Lourdes Pilgrimage Despite Bishop’s Restrictions

The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (SSPX) has announced that it will continue its annual pilgrimage to Lourdes.
Following the episcopal consecrations on July 1 in Ecône, Bishop Jean-Marc Micas of Tarbes and Lourdes withdrew permission for the SSPX to celebrate public Masses, administer sacraments, or organize public prayers at Lourdes.
In an August 22 statement, Fr. Gonzague Peignot, superior of the FSSPX in France, announced that the Fraternity intends to continue coming to Lourdes every year, “Our Lady does not deserve to be abandoned despite the obstacles,” he said.
The FSSPX expressed 'sorrow and incomprehension', questioning the bishop's decision and pointing to the interreligious Christian-Muslim pilgrimage that was welcomed at the sanctuary in October 2025.
For now, the FSSPX faithful intend to remain present at Lourdes, but their pilgrimage will no longer be able to take the same public form as in previous years.

Question:
Based on all going issues since Benedict XVI resigned from ministerium and not from munus, how one can consider Bergoglio and Prevost were/are true popes?
Canon 332 §2 of the 1983 Code states plainly:
Si contingat ut Romanus Pontifex muneri suo renuntiet, ad validitatem requiritur ut renuntiatio libere fiat et rite manifestetur, non vero ut a quopiam acceptetur.
"If it happens that the Roman Pontiff resigns his munus, it is required for validity that the resignation be freely made and properly manifested, but it is not necessary that it be accepted by anyone."
The canon uses munus — not ministerium, not officium, not any other term. Munus in the canonical tradition carries the weight of the office itself: the ontological reality, the gift-and-burden of the Petrine charge, not merely its active exercise.
On February 11, 2013, Benedict XVI declared in Latin:
...declaro me ministerio Episcopi Romae, Successoris Sancti Petri, mihi per manus Cardinalium die 19 aprilis MMV …Bontsi

65% of Cardinals Know No Latin – Lack Any Real Qualifications

Over 65% of the current College of Cardinals does not know any Latin, writes Francesco Capozza, Vatican journalist for IlTempo.it, on Facebook (August 4): “This is the extremely serious legacy of Bergoglio (Pope Francis), who has given the Church cardinals who are ignorant, lacking any real qualifications or merit, and unaware that Latin is the official language of the Church.”
The figure sounds plausible, but Capozza does not publish any documentation to support it. He says he conducted research over several months and consulted seminaries, universities, religious congregations, and others.
Capozza adds that most of these cardinals do not even speak English, but only their native language.
He concludes: “This is the Church of today, and if Leo XIV does not clean house, the outcome will be an even greater disaster than the previous twelve years.”

The Safety Valve of the Holy Spirit: How Vatican II’s "Pastoral" Shield Preserved the Faith
For sixty years, the Catholic faithful have been told to bow before a new deity: the elusive, shape-shifting "Spirit of Vatican II." We have been assured that the twenty-first ecumenical council was a rupture, a foundational reboot that dragged a reluctant, medieval Church into the glorious light of modern progressivism. The progressive wing of the Church has weaponized the Council's documents to construct a confusing, distorted Church on the ashes of the old.
But their revolution possesses a fatal, architectural flaw. In their haste to remake the Church in the image of the secular world, the architects of this modern experiment forgot a fundamental rule of Catholic theology. By explicitly, repeatedly, and formally defining the Second Vatican Council as a strictly pastoral council, the Popes of the mid-twentieth century unwittingly revealed the ultimate proof of divine intervention.
The Holy …Bontsi

Monsignor Rossetti Continues Deliverance Ministry Despite Removal as Exorcist

Monsignor Stephen Rossetti, removed in June as an exorcist by Washington Cardinal Robert McElroy, is continuing his deliverance ministry.
In an August 3 email to subscribers, Monsignor Rossetti said he remains a priest in good standing in his home Diocese of Syracuse, New York, and will continue his work through the St. Michael Center, which operates within the territory of the Washington archdiocese.
On June 3, Cardinal McElroy removed Rossetti as an archdiocesan exorcist and ended all affiliation between the Archdiocese of Washington and Rossetti's St. Michael Center.
Monsignor Rossetti argues that he retains priestly faculties in several dioceses and exorcist faculties in two others. He also says his own bishop has encouraged him to continue the ministry.
The June controversy followed Rossetti's eccentric claim that UFOs "are, in fact, demons." Cardinal McElroy - who had removed him for this claim - later said the decision was not about UFOs but reflected his view that the role of an …Bontsi

Tragic Suicide of Italian 🌈-Priest, 75

Italian priest Lino Zatelli, 75, killed himself on August 12. He had been parish priest of San Carlo Borromeo in Trento for a quarter of a century.
He was found dead inside the rectory of his parish after he didn’t show up to celebrate the Eucharist.
Corriere del Trentino reported the death as a voluntary act.
Two months earlier he had learned that he would have to leave San Carlo in November for another pastoral assignment. Zatelli publicly said he had not asked to leave.
Sad detail: During his Easter homily, Don Zatelli preached about Judas's suicide. He discussed Judas as someone overwhelmed by despair who could no longer see beyond the obstacle before him, but emphasized Christ's forgiveness and imagined Jesus ultimately embracing Judas in heaven.
Eucharists Beyond Rubrics
A 2019 interview called him the “eternal bad boy of the Trentino Church.”
