Church Memorial Remembers Aborted Babies: At St. Antonius Church in Bregenz, Austria, a memorial commemorates children who died before birth. Bishop Benno Elbs of Feldkirch inaugurated the memorial in December 2025. A memorial plaque remembers Lydia, who died in the ninth week of pregnancy after her mother took an abortion pill. Her mother regretted the decision and tried unsuccessfully to stop the effects of the pill. Lydia was later given a dignified burial.
